About Us

Country Willow Veterinary Hospital has built a reputation in Warwick, NY that goes beyond routine checkups. With a 4.6-star rating earned across nearly 250 reviews, the team here treats every patient the way they'd treat their own animals, with genuine attention and hands-on experience that shows from the moment you walk through the door.

What sets this practice apart is the breadth of what they handle. Many veterinary offices turn away unusual cases or refer out for complex procedures. Country Willow steps in. The hospital sits at 87 Kings Hwy, right in Orange County, and draws patients from communities throughout the region. The staff are animal lovers first, and it comes through in how they communicate with pet owners, walking you through what's happening and making sure you leave with a clear picture of your animal's health.

Their Emergency Care means you have a place to turn when something urgent comes up during business hours.

Perhaps most notably, Country Willow welcomes Exotics, caring for animals that most general practices simply aren't equipped to see. "1 star for them taking in exotic pets such as my boy Astro in as an emergency same day. 2 stars for doctor Brian doing an excellent job treating Astro and having a great bedside manner for me and Astro. 3 stars for their speed. 4 stars for the affordability. 5 stars for all who works there, the receptionists and techs are so friendly and comforting. There was no rat stigma, they thought he was adorable. Ive used them for all my exotics and I've seen many dog and cat owners visiting for surgeries. I highly recommend, I don't miss taking the ride from NJ it's definitely worth it to have doctors who care about your pets as if they would there own."

"After multiple frustrating experiences, and 5 years of patronage, I’ve decided to move my dog to another veterinary practice. One of my biggest concerns is the way this office handles so-called "emergency" appointments. On several occasions, I've called because my dog needed to be seen for concerns such as nausea or recommended testing, only to be told that no same-day or even same-week appointments were available. If they are able to fit you in, you're charged an additional $120 emergency fee simply because they're "fully booked." Yet more than once when I've arrived for appointments, the office has appeared nearly empty. As a long-term client who stays on top of annual exams, bloodwork, vaccinations, and follow-up care, I expected a little more flexibility and consideration. I work outside the area and regularly leave work early to make appointments. At a recent visit, when scheduling vaccinations, I was asked in a less-than-friendly manner if I could come earlier, despite already explaining that I had been rearranging my work schedule just to make their available appointment times before closing. The attitude from staff has often felt dismissive, and I have also had concerns about the overall cleanliness and customer service experience. The final straw came today. I called in the morning regarding my dog and was told they would likely be able to accommodate an emergency appointment if needed. When I called back as instructed, I was told they could no longer see her. I expressed my frustration with what has become a recurring pattern, and the response I received was, "If you'd like to switch vets, that's your prerogative." So I did. I contacted another practice, and they were accommodating, professional, respectful, and genuinely concerned about my pet's wellbeing. When you bring your pet to a veterinarian, you're trusting them with a non-verbal family member who relies entirely on you to advocate for their care. That trust extends beyond medical treatment—it includes compassion, communication, and respect for both the animal and the owner. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience here."

"Our first appointment was amazing! The women taking care of our beardie really cared and explained everything thoroughly to help us be at ease. The second appointment was absolute hell. We went as an emergency as our beardie’s health was going downhill very fast and he could barley move. We had a man with red hair help us that tome and it was truly horrific. The way he was handling my beardie was extremely harsh and my beardie was clearly in pain but the vet did not seem to care. While I know my beardie was not well, he passed on the way home from that appointment and its hard to not feel like they sped up that process. The way he handled him made me audibly gasp and my poor beardie showed signs he was in pain and those signs were ignored. We will never be going back as that experience was the worst vet experience I have ever had. We left with no answers, a $500 bill and a dead loved one."
